Felgenhauer at MINExpo International

The American trade show MINExpo International is the world’s most important event for the mining industry. This year, Felgenhauer will be there alongside PSS to officially unveil their joint product.

The Biggest Event in the Industry

From September 24 to 26, Las Vegas will host representatives from the largest companies and experts in the global mining industry. They will gather to discuss, share experiences, and discover new products.

Among this year’s attendees will be representatives from Felgenhauer, who will be present at the booth of their esteemed business partner, PS Systems. During the event, they will showcase their joint product:
Powered roof supports.

This event is extremely important to us for several reasons. First, it highlights our collaboration with PSS, a company that shares our philosophy and commitment to creating products of the highest possible quality. Second, MINExpo offers us a great opportunity to further engage in efforts to enhance the safety and future of the mining industry. And third, it allows us to present our offerings to representatives from the world’s largest companies and numerous experts.

The Felgenhauer and PSS Joint Project

This isn’t the first collaboration between Felgenhauer and PSS. Previously, they fulfilled an order for the first mechanized wall supports. This time, the bar was set much higher – 200 supports destined for a mine in the United States.

Each support weighs an impressive 25 tons, which means the project required vast amounts of high-quality steel and a team of the best welders. Transporting such large items across the ocean is also a significant logistical challenge, but the route has already been tested during a previous shipment.

The equipment will now be delivered to the Hamilton mine in Illinois, where it will improve the safety of miners and increase work efficiency. The supports have a load-bearing capacity of 2988 lb. kg, and importantly, they are designed to operate with all modern longwall mining techniques.

Preparations for MINExpo are already underway. The trade show is an excellent opportunity to get better acquainted with the latest trends and changes in the industry, as well as to further solidify our market position.
