What would you do with a prize of 10,000 PLN? Ramaswamy Bonda, a CNC operator at Felgenhauer, had to answer this question not just in theory. During a company event, he won exactly this amount. What did he do with it? His decision turned out to be a positive surprise.
Cash Prize for a Felgenhauer Employee
In early June 2024, Felgenhauer organized a family picnic. It was not only an opportunity to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the company’s operations in Poland, but also a way to thank all employees for their dedication and daily work.
During the celebration, special awards were given to those with the longest tenure at Felgenhauer. There were also additional cash prizes up for grabs, with every employee having a chance to win.
The grand prize was a bonus of 10,000 PLN. The winner was Ramaswamy Bonda, who has been working as a CNC operator for two years.
The Remarkable Story of Ramaswamy
When the announcement was made, excitement filled the room. Ramaswamy’s colleagues and friends rejoiced with him. Congratulations echoed throughout the hall, and Ramaswamy himself seemed surprised by the situation.
“I am incredibly happy and proud to have won the first prize,” he said later in an interview.
He also shared his story, in which Felgenhauer became an important part at a certain point.
“I am 27 years old and come from a multigenerational family in India. I have three brothers and three sisters and am the youngest sibling. We didn’t have much money, so I couldn’t afford to go to university. Instead, I started working and learning from a young age. In 2020, I got married and had a son. But when my son was three months old, I had to leave to earn a living. Thanks to my friend, I found the Auroom agency, which helped me get a job as a CNC operator at Felgenhauer.”

A Surprising Decision
10,000 PLN can make a difference in someone’s life, or even help fulfill a few dreams. For someone living 8,000 kilometers from home and family, the amount is especially meaningful.
Two days after the event, Ramaswamy was invited to his manager’s office to discuss the details of receiving the prize. He was asked what he planned to do with the money. His answer was unexpected.
“There are many poor children in India who can’t even afford food. I felt this prize was a sign from God. I decided to donate the money to provide food for those children. It makes me happy that I can help them in this way,” he said.

News of Ramaswamy’s decision quickly spread throughout the company and reached Felgenhauer’s management, who decided to further support his cause. It was decided that the prize would be doubled to help even more children in need.
